Who we are

This website is run by Maud LLC, doing business as Maud Systems. Our address is 502 W 7th St, Ste 100, Erie, PA 16502. You can reach us at [email protected] or (814) 392-9659. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Maud LLC, and "you" means anyone using this website.

This policy explains what we collect when you use maudsystems.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• What you send us. If you fill out the form on the talk to us page, we get your name, your business name, your phone number, your email address and whatever you write in the message box. If you call, text or email us instead, we have whatever you say there.
• What you type into the assistant. This site has a chat assistant. We receive the messages you type into it so we can answer them and so we can see where it needs improving.
• Ordinary technical information. Like every website, ours records things such as your IP address, the type of browser and device you are on, which pages you opened and when. This is kept by the company that hosts the site, and it is used to keep the site up and to block attacks and spam.

We do not ask you for anything sensitive, such as a social security number, a card number or health information. Please do not send those to us.

Cookies and tracking

We do not run advertising trackers on this site and we do not run an analytics product that follows you around the internet. Two things do store information in your own browser: the chat assistant saves your conversation so it is still there if you reload the page, and our host sets what it needs to run the anti spam check on the form. You can clear both at any time by clearing your browser data.

Why we use it

• To reply to you and to carry on the conversation you started.
• To work out what we would build for your business, and then to build and run it.
• To keep the site working, and to stop spam and abuse.
• To meet our record keeping and tax obligations.

We do not use what you send us to train a public AI model, and we do not build a profile on you for advertising.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information and we do not rent or trade it. The only outside parties who see it are the companies we use to host this website, to filter spam, to send and receive our email, and to run the assistant. They only handle it so they can provide that service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or if we have to defend a legal claim.

Phone calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number, you are agreeing that we can call or text you about what you contacted us for. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text and we will stop texting you, or just tell us and we will take the number off.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as we are talking to you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. We keep records of work we have actually done for as long as the law requires. Chat conversations are kept while we are improving the assistant and are removed after that.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will do it. We do not charge for this and we do not treat you any differently for asking. Some states give their residents these rights by law. We give them to everyone who asks, wherever you live.

Keeping it safe

The site runs over an encrypted connection and access to what you send us is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we do not hold more than we need to, which is the best protection there is.

Children

This site is for people running businesses. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we will update the page and change the date at the top. If the change is a big one, we will say so on the page.
